v1.2.0 — July 21, 2026
Engine & platform
- Engine upgraded from Godot 4.6.3 to 4.7.1.
- New intro with a real loading bar and background preloading; shader baking added to the export pipeline.
New systems
- Save & Continue — save and load mid-match.
- Story editor for campaign authoring, alongside the level editor.
- Derelict buildings — unowned structures on the map, plus an engineer capture channel with a progress ring.
- Starting loadout — choose what you bring when the base unfolds.
- Per-level terrain (including a flat training map) and per-level build availability.
- PvP rulesets; infantry vest upgrades in three tiers.
Art overhaul — the big one
- Nearly everything remodelled through the model pipeline: Turret, Keystone / Construction Yard, Power Plant, Refinery, Hauler, Radar, Korsair, the SC-OUT drone family (Kestrel / Falcon / Goshawk on a single airframe), all ground vehicles and the remaining buildings.
- Wrecks — buildings now collapse into smouldering remains instead of vanishing.
- New Crythium emblem; animated infantry, engineer and railgun team.
- Razor Wire and Blast Barriers — they snap together and follow the terrain.
Behaviour & AI
- One global targeting gate: nothing fires at neutral or derelict structures any more (the old barrier/barbed-wire bug).
- Drones fly straight to your order instead of circling harmless turrets; new "Evade air defense" toggle on the Drone Pad and Flight Operations.
- Engineers: auto-capture (Barracks toggle), coordination between engineers, and their own voice lines.
- War Factory vehicles now drive out the door to the rally point instead of appearing out of thin air.
- Various gunnery fixes — including no longer missing stationary targets.
UI / UX
- Menus, PvP lobby, Options, Help and the Story editor restyled in the retro-tactical console theme.
- Dev tools as a floating console; level title card; hourglass indicator on producing buildings.
Bug fixes
- ~40 fixes, including: engineers trapped inside walls, selecting tall buildings, invisible walls, AI base layout, EMP passing through the EW dome, infantry walking backwards, and more.
